Firebreather® Air Transfer Grille
Firebreather® Air Transfer Grille is a fire resistant ventilation grille that is installed to provide air circulation and ventilation for spaces in walls with fire resistance requirements. When exposed to fire, the materials within the air transfer grille expand, sealing off the ventilation element and preventing the fire from spreading for up to 90 minutes for both integrity and insulation. The air transfer grille comprises a highly effective intumescent building material and a stainless steel frame.
Use: Firebreather® Air Transfer Grille is a fully passive ventilation grille for walls with fire protection requirements. In the event of fire, the grille expand to stop the fire from spreading and prevent the exchange of hot gases between different fire compartments.
Areas of application
The Firebreather® Air Transfer Grille is the ideal fire resistant ventilation grille for structures with restricted fire compartments that require air circulation and ventilation without negatively affecting their fire class:
