Joint cord
Flexible fire protection cord made of mineral fibres for fire sealing structural joints. The fire protection joint cord is available in various diameters for joint widths of 10 mm to 55 mm.
Use: The mineral fibre sealing cord is suitable for expansion and movement joints with a fire resistance class of EI 30 – EI 120 in solid floors as well as in load-bearing and non-load-bearing solid separating walls. Additionally, it has also been tested for use in movement joints (shear joints up to a width of 55 mm) between solid building elements.

Application Note
In floors the (lower) joint filling rope must be set back by at least 25 mm during installation. In walls the two outer joint layers must be set back by at least 25 mm when more than one joint filling rope is used.
