System FLAMMOTECT-A cable coating is a high-performance ablative fire protection coating system designed for the passive fire protection of cable systems. It reduces flame spread in accordance with IEC 60332-3-22 cat. A for up to 120 minutes while supporting the functional integrity of electrical cables under fire conditions and is FM approved. The coating forms a durable, flexible protective layer with excellent resistance to moisture, UV radiation, freeze-thaw cycling, salt water, oils and many chemicals. It is solvent- and halogen-free, low in emissions, and does not affect the current-carrying capacity of coated cables. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, FLAMMOTECT-A is ideal for power generation, industrial, infrastructure, and nuclear applications. It can be applied by airless spray, roller, or brush, allowing high film thicknesses in a single application.

System FLAMMOTECT-A is an ablative fire protection coating. In the event of a fire, the fire protection coating FLAMMOTECT-A will absorb thermal energy and split off crystallinebound water, thus exerting a cooling effect on the cable and its surroundings. Furthermore, a protective layer is created in the process so as to insulate the surface and reduce the intensity of the fire impact on the coated material.
