HVAC split units: how Flamro fire protection for air conditioning lines works
In most cases, the lines of an air conditioning system must be routed through separating walls and floors. In the process, the fire resistance of the affected building element must be ensured and (re-)established. The listed FLAMRO® fire protection systems for HVAC split lines are tested solutions that prevent the risk of fire via the supply lines of an air conditioning system. By fire sealing the opening resulting from the installed lines of an HVAC split unit, they prevent the spread of fire in the event of an emergency.
In most cases, the lines of an HVAC split unit characteristically consist of one or two copper pipes with PE foam insulation. Furthermore, they often have accompanying cables and a condensate hose made of PVC, for example.
